Frinton-on-Sea, Essex - Eclectic En-Suite & Shower Room Renovation
The elegant chrome fittings for the radiator and brassware add finesse and echo the traditional vibe of the room. The feature of the room, however, is the bath area. The bath sits within an alcove, beautifully framed by a custom-built arch in front of the bath, allowing for a shower option on the wall over the bath as well as creating a cosy space to relax and enjoy. The arch was inspired by the features around the windows in the other rooms in the house which ties the space together.

The North African mosaic on the wall was a last-minute addition, bringing immediate charm and interest as soon as you enter the room. This stunning piece of artwork is framed in tiled rails normally used to create a dado rail, but in this instance, drastically enhances the artistic flow of the piece. Clever light placement in the bath area highlights the mosaic, creating an almost gallery-like feel in the space.

Another small but effective feature is the lack of tile trim used. Our fantastic tiler used a mitre cut on the tiles around the niches and corners as the customer didn’t want tile trim so using precise cuts and measures the finish is immaculate.

In addition to this en-suite, we also renovated a tiny shower room for the customer. What went from being nicknamed “The Cupboard” has been transformed into a fresh and interesting guest shower room. With the Mediterranean-inspired tiles, the room has character and charm, showing that even the smallest of spaces don’t have to be boring and neglected.
